Daniel J. Carmody, CTP - Founder / Producer
Daniel Carmody is a fintech and treasury strategist with a proven track record of creating platforms that spark meaningful industry dialogue. With deep experience as an executive, entrepreneur, and educator, Dan brings together professionals across finance, banking and technology to exchange ideas, drive innovation, and solve real-world challenges.
He began his career in corporate treasury roles at Arthur Andersen, Equity Office Properties, and AON Corporation. In 2002, he founded TreaSolution, Inc., a consultancy dedicated to helping organizations build world-class treasury and fintech capabilities. Over time, TreaSolution expanded into training, staffing, and event production. In 2012, Dan was invited to teach the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) course at Northwestern University, where 94.29% of students rated him as exceeding expectations.
In 2018, Dan launched the U.S. Fintech Symposium to foster open, executive-level conversations on financial technology strategy and execution. Building on that success, he introduced the Fintech Risk & Compliance Forum in 2024 and the CU Growth & Innovation Summit in 2025. In 2026, he will debut The Treasury Leadership Summit, a new event designed to explore the future of treasury management. All four conferences now operate under Converge Events, the brand Dan founded to advance strategic learning through expert panels, peer-to-peer discussions, and curated networking experiences that drive real connection.
Dan serves on the Board of Executive Advisors for Northern Illinois University’s Department of Finance and is an active member of the Treasury Management Association of Chicago. He has delivered more than 150 public speaking engagements on fintech, treasury, and career development, and is widely recognized for making complex topics accessible and actionable for senior-level audiences.
